Photography Assistant

We’re Looking For A: Photography Assistant to support the photography team, including, but not limited to, file organization, sourcing/purchasing products, props, and ingredients, making call sheets, casting calls, filing receipts, steaming and prepping wardrobe, simple styling prep, and running errands. This role will be responsible for setting up and dismantling photo sets, lights, modifiers, and other shoot-related equipment, as well as keeping the studio organized and tidy between photoshoots. Additionally, this role will contribute to optimizing studio procedures to enhance asset management and reduce turnaround time. The Photography Assistant will collaborate with various departments on all photography-related tasks.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Attend photo shoot kick-off meetings
• Assist setting up - or prepping a set build for a photo shoot
• Build Sets based on the previous photo set diagram
• Build lights with modifiers and break them down as needed
• Assist with pet photo shoots
• Assist with Models and Celebrity photo shoots
• Purchasing products, backgrounds, props, and ingredients
• Making call sheets and casting calls
• Filing receipts
• Steaming and prepping wardrobe
• Maintaining the organization of our photo drives
• Can drive a vehicle to make production runs

Preferred Qualifications (Note: These are preferred and not required. We strongly encourage you to apply even if you don’t tick ALL of these boxes.):

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and organize time
• Attention to detail
• Understand the needs of production
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Basic knowledge of camera technology and lighting 
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Lightroom Classic and Adobe Photoshop
• Self-motivated and deadline-driven. Able to take tasks from ideation to completion. 
• Self starter - can identify needs and make a plan to solve the need.
• Can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to anticipate photographers' needs and adapt quickly during  active photoshoots
• 1 years of experience working within a photography setting, studio, or working on production sets
• Previous production or studio experience (preferred)
• Previous experience with lighting and cinematography
• Previous experience in an assistant role

The base salary range is $20.29-$27.07, plus annual & monthly KPI bonus potential.
Salary is based on a wide range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geographical location.
