We’re Looking For A(n): Associate Production Designer

Location: Woodland Hills, CA

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Collaborate on Visual Identity: Work closely with creative teams to define and develop the visual identity of each production, ensuring consistency across sets, props, graphics, and branded elements.
  • Translate Concepts into Design: Translate creative briefs and conceptual ideas into tangible visual assets, including set layouts, props, graphics, and environmental details that reflect the brand’s aesthetic and messaging.
  • Support Set Dressing and Styling: Stage props and dress sets for video shoots, collaborating with directors and producers to ensure all visual elements support the story and creative direction.
  • Studio Systems & Organization: Assist in implementing new protocols for studio organization, art department workflow, and storage solutions. Support overall studio upkeep under the guidance of the Production Designer to ensure a functional and efficient workspace.
  • Brand Alignment: Ensure all design work adheres to established brand guidelines and effectively communicates brand values across different media and platforms.
  • Project & Time Management: Manage multiple design tasks and smaller-scale projects simultaneously, delivering high-quality work on schedule and within budget constraints.
  • Logistics & Coordination: Coordinate the sourcing, pickup, and return of rental items and materials, maintaining cost-efficiency and meeting production timelines.
  • Creative Contribution: Participate in brainstorming sessions and team meetings to generate fresh, relevant design ideas for sets, props, and visual environments.

Qualifications (Note: We strongly encourage you to apply even if you don’t tick ALL of these boxes.):

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creative and thoughtful set design work
  • Proven ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Familiarity with budget-conscious design practices and resource optimization
  • Effective collaboration skills when working with directors, producers, and cross-functional creative teams
  • Awareness of current trends in design, advertising, and video production
  • Ability to incorporate contemporary visual elements into set designs while maintaining consistent brand aesthetics
  • Exceptional attention to detail across all stages of design and production
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, especially when sourcing or crafting props within budget constraints
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Flexibility and adaptability in response to shifting project needs and priorities
  • 1 year of experience in design
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Film or Media preferred

  • 1 year of design experience, production background preferred 
  • Travel required (Might need to travel 2-3 times a year, both domestic and international.)

The base salary range is $25.24 - $33.70, plus annual & monthly KPI bonus potential.
