We’re Looking For A: Senior Full Stack Engineer that will serve as a technical leader driving the evolution of our high-scale eCommerce and ad-tech platforms. This role combines deep technical expertise in payment systems, server-to-server integrations for tracking and conversions, and AI-driven development practices with the vision to lead and mentor our engineering team. You will architect and maintain mission-critical systems that manage 200+ simultaneous offers in a complex, configuration-driven environment, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance across our Heroku-based infrastructure.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Platform Architecture & Development

  • Design, develop, and scale full-stack applications supporting 200+ concurrent offers in a configuration-driven eCommerce environment on Heroku Services
  • Architect robust server-to-server integration solutions for customer event signals supporting tracking and conversions between ad platforms, analytics systems, and eCommerce infrastructure
  • Lead the modernization and synchronization of legacy codebases, establishing sustainable maintenance practices and technical debt reduction strategies

Payment Systems & Integration

  • Own end-to-end payment processing architecture including credit card transactions, digital wallets (PayPal), and enterprise payment gateways (Cybersource)
  • Implement and maintain PCI-compliant payment flows with advanced fraud detection and tax calculation capabilities
  • Design fault-tolerant payment reconciliation systems that handle high-volume transactions with zero downtime

Ad-Tech & Data Pipeline Engineering

  • Build and optimize customer event signal management systems for real-time ad attribution and conversion tracking
  • Develop sophisticated data collection pipelines capturing user interactions across web properties, video players, and checkout flows
  • Implement server-side tracking and conversion solutions for privacy-compliant marketing attribution across multiple ad platforms

Technical Leadership & Innovation

  • Champion AI-assisted development practices, integrating AI agents and tools into daily engineering workflows
    Mentor engineering team members, establishing coding standards and architectural best practices
  • Lead technical decision-making with precision, balancing immediate needs with long-term scalability
  • Drive adoption of modern development practices while managing technical debt in existing systems

System Reliability & Performance

  • Ensure 99.9%+ uptime for critical eCommerce services handling high-traffic campaigns
  • Optimize Angular/Node.js/PostgreSQL stack performance for sub-second response times
  • Implement comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and self-healing systems
  • Lead incident response and post-mortem processes to continuously improve system reliability

Qualifications (Note: We strongly encourage you to apply even if you don’t tick ALL of these boxes.):

Core Technical Stack

  • Expert-level proficiency in Angular (latest versions), Node.js, and PostgreSQL
  • Deep understanding of Heroku platform capabilities, limitations, and optimization strategies
  • Strong experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and real-time data synchronization
  • Proficiency in SQL optimization, database design, and data modeling at scale

eCommerce & Payment Expertise

  • Hands-on experience with payment gateway integrations (Stripe, PayPal, Cybersource, etc.)
  • Understanding of PCI compliance, tokenization, and secure payment processing
  • Experience with subscription management, dynamic pricing, and complex offer configurations
  • Knowledge of tax calculation services and international payment considerations

Ad-Tech & Analytics

  • Expertise in server-side tracking implementations (Facebook Conversions API, Google Enhanced Conversions, TikTok Events API)
  • Understanding of attribution models, conversion tracking, and marketing analytics
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and real-time data streaming
  • Knowledge of privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and their impact on tracking systems

AI & Modern Development

  • Active practitioner of AI-assisted development using GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar tools
  • Experience implementing ML/AI features in production applications
  • Forward-thinking approach to leveraging AI for code generation, testing, and documentation
  • Commitment to staying current with AI development tools and best practices

Leadership & Communication

  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
  • Track record of mentoring developers and building high-performing teams
  • Self-driven with exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Experience leading technical initiatives from conception to production deployment

Operational Excellence

  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across distributed systems
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment strategies
  • Understanding of cloud cost optimization and resource management

The base salary range is $112,600 - $150,200, plus annual & monthly KPI bonus potential.
