We’re Looking For A(n): National Account Manager
Location: Remote (Woodland Hills, CA)
What You’ll Be Doing: The mission of this role is to build and grow a profitable, strategic partnership with a national account—driving sales, distribution, and margin performance through data-driven planning, flawless execution, and collaborative business development that accelerates brand growth across both in-store and digital channels.
- Own a national account and deliver sales, spending and distribution targets
- Develop and execute joint business plans (JBPs) in partnership with national account merchants, driving growth through innovation, assortment expansion, and in-store excellence.
- Lead forecasting, promotional planning, and trade spend management to achieve financial goals while maintaining brand integrity.
- Partner with broader retail team to align account plans with broader company strategy
- Identify and pursue new distribution and merchandising opportunities, including planogram optimization, secondary placement, and seasonal programs
- Leverage data and insights to analyze performance and recommend actions to improve velocity, share, and profitability.
- Build strong relationships with national account buying, merchandising, and marketing teams, acting as the primary business contact for all activities.
- Collaborate with a national account digital team to drive eCommerce growth and optimize performance on national account eCommerce sites.
- Execute pricing, promotion, and trade strategies consistent with brand objectives and channel strategy.
- Partner with internal operations to ensure on-time, in-full delivery and service level excellence.
- Monitor competitive activity and provide strategic insights to inform pricing, product innovation, and promotional strategy.
- Represent the company at national account line reviews, trade shows, and key category planning meetings.

Entrepreneurial Mindset – Acts with urgency, accountability, and creativity to drive growth in a fast-paced, competitive retail environment
- Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or eCommerce degree or certification

Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- 5–8 years of CPG sales experience, with 3+ years managing key national accounts
- 3+ years of pet sales experience
- Proven track record of growing branded business within retail partners.
- Strong analytical, financial acumen, and strategic planning skills.
- Experience working with IRI/Nielsen
- Passion for pets and the pet industry strongly preferred

- National accounts, or other pet specialty retailers preferred
- 5+ years of pet sales experience
- Experience with Tableau and retailer portal systems

The base salary range is $100,000-$125,000, plus annual & monthly KPI bonus potential.
The posted salary range in this job posting reflects data based on California's cost of labor analysis. This salary range is subject to change per state; please click here to find the pay differential in your state of residence if the role is remote.
