We’re Looking For A(n): Inventory Control Supervisor
The Inventory Control Supervisor reports to the Inventory Manager and plays a key leadership role in overseeing all inventory-related functions within the distribution center. This hands-on position is responsible for supervising a team of Inventory Control Specialists and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of all inventory processes—including cycle counting, audits, slotting, inventory tracking, and discrepancy resolution. The Supervisor works closely with cross-functional teams such as Order Processing, Logistics, Fulfillment, Quality, and Returns to support smooth warehouse operations and maintain high inventory standards.
This role requires strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills, along with the ability to motivate and develop team members. The Inventory Control Supervisor is expected to model the Company’s Core Values, support its vision, and foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. Responsibilities include training staff, assigning daily tasks, monitoring performance, providing feedback, recognizing achievements, addressing issues, and resolving team concerns constructively.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and system integrity across all warehouse locations.
- Drive process improvements in productivity, accuracy, and compliance with company standards.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and support operational goals.
- Assess team performance to identify skill gaps and implement targeted training and coaching plans. Ensure consistent communication of department policies and procedures while fostering a culture of development, motivation, and high performance.
- Oversee and direct the slotting strategy by assigning optimal picking locations and defining appropriate minimum/maximum thresholds to enhance replenishment efficiency and order fulfillment accuracy.
- Lead root cause investigations into product shortages and systemic inventory issues, implementing corrective actions and preventative measures.
- Manage and coordinate cycle count schedules, oversee discrepancy resolution, and ensure receiving and putaway processes are executed with precision and timeliness.
- Provide daily leadership to the inventory control team—setting expectations, driving accountability, and fostering a positive, collaborative team culture.
- Address and resolve team concerns with fairness and professionalism while maintaining open communication and promoting team engagement.
- Complete internal work orders to support special projects and warehouse needs
- Order unit carton components required for product rework
- Manage outbound carrier scheduling and communication to ensure timely shipments
- Coordinate all warehouse transfers, maintaining accuracy and clear documentation between locations
- Support corporate inventory audits and compliance reviews.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free workspace.
- Experience working in a collaborative group environment as well as individually
- This is a full-time position. Standard 40-hour work week, however candidate must be able and willing to work extended hours when required
- Consistent attendance and adhering to work schedule and attendance policy
- Organized with high attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Ability to perform basic math and read/comprehend written work instructions.
- Basic knowledge of computers is required.
- Strong written and oral communication skills are a must.
