We’re Looking For A: Senior Operations Manager

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Schedule: M-F 8am-5:30pm PST

Pay Range: $97,800 - $110,000

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for a high-volume distribution center, overseeing exempt leaders and non-exempt associates while ensuring strong delegation, accountability, and execution of business priorities.
  • Drive continuous improvement through Lean methodologies, Kaizen events, root cause analysis, and process engineering practices to eliminate waste and increase throughput.
  • Analyze and interpret KPI performance data (productivity, safety, quality, cost, service, and inventory accuracy) to identify gaps, prioritize initiatives, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Develop, standardize, and continuously refine operating procedures and best practices to support scalability, consistency, and operational excellence.
  • Coach and develop managers and teams on performance metrics, continuous improvement tools, and structured problem-solving to strengthen internal capability and engagement.
  • Design and implement workforce planning and staffing strategies to ensure labor flexibility, maximize efficiency, and support volume fluctuations.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and productivity targets are achieved through disciplined performance management, standard work execution, and daily/weekly operational reviews.
  • Partner with Safety leadership and committees to promote a proactive safety culture, reduce risk, and achieve departmental and facility-wide safety objectives.
  • Lead execution of operational projects including labor scheduling, inventory transitions, system enhancements, and cross-functional initiatives, ensuring milestone completion, data accuracy, and strong WMS performance (Deposco/NetSuite).

Preferred Qualifications (Note: These are preferred and not required. We strongly encourage you to apply even if you don’t tick ALL of these boxes.):

  • This position requires 5-7 years of senior management level experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field of study 5+Expertise with LEAN methodology and Continuous Improvement
  • 5+ years previous management experience in a high-volume distribution center operation
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills are required with proven ability to lead
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive employee, customer and cross-functional team
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to drive results
  • Ability to drive is an essential function of the role-Required Motor Vehicle Report
  • Must be able to communicate effectively (both verbally and written) in English with all levels of work force including custodians, technicians, production workers, engineers and upper level management (bilingual in Spanish highly desirable)
  • Proficient with the use of computer-based tools MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), preferred
