We’re Looking For A: Senior Manager, Web Development & eCommerce to step into a dynamic role as the Head of an energetic and inventive web development team, spearheading groundbreaking advancements in platform and framework technologies. You'll be at the forefront of leading a group of talented front-end web developers, each driven by a passion for crafting exceptional online experiences for customers on our bespoke eCommerce platform. As a pivotal leader, you'll collaborate intimately with our engineering division, ensuring our front-end stack not only stays ahead of the curve in design and modernization but also scales seamlessly to meet evolving market demands. You will be instrumental in defining and achieving ambitious, quantifiable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), driving the team toward excellence in conversion rate optimization and delivering measurable, high-impact results. What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Team Leadership: Build and lead the hiring, performance management, and mentoring of a team of front-end developers and contractors. Identify and implement team optimizations in tooling including AI or training techniques. Challenge the status quo with hands-on development direction. 
  • Conversion Rate Optimization: Proactively audit website performance and implement conversion rate optimization strategies to improve performance and user experience through high quality AB testing techniques on our sales funnel applications. 
  • Strategy and Vision: Develop, communicate, and execute a clear vision for web development, aligning it with the company's business goals and objectives while sustaining a scalable and modern web development stack. 
  • Results Driven: Partner with media buyers, outreach channels like SMS and email, and engineering to drive the creation of innovative website features and solutions that enhance user engagement, conversion, and overall customer experience. Maintain and grow key KPIs in web development velocity and quality. 
  • Technical Expertise: Using a hands-on approach with the development team to resolve escalations from other developers. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging web technologies while evaluating opportunities to improve velocity, quality, and design accuracy. 
  • Collaboration: Proactively partner with the engineering department to integrate website functionality with backend applications via APIs. Build and maintain strong relationships within the marketing management teams to plan for future needs. 
  • Project Management: Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time and help accelerate transparency on any barriers impeding success.
  • Quality: Establish mature and consistent web development best practices, including testing, debugging, and code reviews. 
  • Security: Implement and maintain web security measures to protect user data and ensure a secure online environment.
  • Team Development: Support the professional growth and skill development of team members through training and education opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications (Note: These are preferred and not required. We strongly encourage you to apply even if you don’t tick ALL of these boxes.):

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. 
  • 5 years leading and managing  technical teams. 
  • Expert knowledge of NodeJS, APIs. 
  • Typescript, Postgres, HTML, CSS.
  • Angular, Ionic, React (and other modern front-end frameworks). 
  • Knowledge of the Salesforce platform and object structure. 
  • Expert knowledge of Amazon Web Services, Google Kubernetes Engine, Gitlab, Heroku. 
  • Proactive ownership of issues and projects. 
  • In-depth understanding of emerging web development technologies. 
  • High attention to detail. 
  • Ability to work independently, as well as a part of a team. 
  • Great organizational skills. 
  • Expert ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a wide variety of audiences.

The base salary range for this position is $123,750-$165,000 plus annual & monthly KPI bonus potential.
Salary is based on a wide range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geographical location.
