We’re Looking For A: Highly Skilled Senior Accounting Manager to lead a fast and efficient financial close and guide our accounting team through continuous general ledger improvement projects.
Location: This role is designed as Local / Hybrid to our Corporate Office in Woodland Hills, California.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Conduct regular accounting review meetings and project management sessions with the team and cross-functional stakeholders, providing guidance, coaching, and setting clear goals for staff development.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to advance the company's goals and objectives, actively contributing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Oversee initiatives related to systems integration, customization, and other projects aimed at enhancing accounting processes and optimizing efficiency.
- Spearhead a streamlined 5-day or less close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Prepare and review reconciliations of large datasets sourced from diverse platforms, guaranteeing accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
- Analyze balance sheet (B/S) and profit and loss (P&L) accounts, schedules, and journal entries, providing strategic guidance to the team for informed decision-making.
- Oversee financial aspects including Revenue, Receivables, Inventory, Cost of Sales, Advertising, and Leases, ensuring precision in financial reporting across a vertically integrated business model encompassing multiple entities, B2B and D2C operations, Distribution Centers, Manufacturing, etc. Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in accounting principles, leading the adoption of new guidelines in compliance with GAAP, drafting technical memos, and facilitating policy changes as necessary.
- Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, managing the preparation of audit deliverables and financial statements, including footnotes, to ensure a smooth audit process.
- Generate comprehensive monthly financial reports tailored to various business units, providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvements in accounting processes and procedures, seeking efficiencies and implementing best practices to enhance overall effectiveness.
- Provide detailed monthly explanations to the Finance team on variances between actuals and budget, facilitating better budget management and decision-making.
Qualifications (We strongly encourage you to apply even if you don’t tick ALL of these boxes.):
- CPA License (required)
- Thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines effectively. Superior knowledge of US GAAP. Research and navigate technical accounting changes.
- Exceptional project management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance and/or Masters in Business Administration with a focus in accounting or finance or equivalent (required)
- Positive attitude and comfortable with change and ambiguity.
- 7 years in accounting or finance roles, with at least $500M in revenue (required)
- 2 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity (required)
- Big 4 or Top 10 National Public (required)
- Accounting Audit Background (required)
- Experience with E-commerce (B2C), CPG, and fast-paced startup environments (required)
- Strong working knowledge of NetSuite or other large ERP systems (required)
- Experienced Public Accounting Manager; Relevant industry experience

The base salary range is $140,000 to $165,000 plus annual & monthly KPI bonus potential.
Salary is based on a wide range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geographical location.
