Describe your summer internship program’s core components and resource allocation. How many interns do you typically hire, what is the program duration, what is the experience like for interns, and what dedicated resources (budget, staff, tools) do you allocate to support the program?

Our summer internship program provides students with meaningful, hands-on experience through both full-time and part-time internship opportunities. For Summer 2026, we are hosting 14 interns who participate in the program from June 8 through August 28.

Interns are integrated into day-to-day operations and work on substantive projects aligned with their academic interests and career goals. Throughout the program, they receive mentorship from supervisors and participate in professional development opportunities. To foster collaboration and build connections across teams, we also host intern networking and engagement events throughout the summer, giving interns opportunities to share their experiences, learn from one another, and build professional relationships. The program is designed to provide practical experience while fostering skill development, networking, and career exploration.

To support the internship experience, Golden Hippo dedicates staff time for recruitment, onboarding, supervision, mentorship, and program coordination. Interns are provided with the necessary technology, software, workspace, and organizational resources to successfully complete their assignments.

How does your summer internship program contribute to your organization’s strategic objectives? 

Our summer internship program is an important component of Golden Hippo’s workforce development strategy. By providing students with meaningful experiential learning opportunities, we help develop the next generation of professionals while advancing our mission through the contributions interns make to key organizational projects and initiatives.

Interns bring fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and additional capacity that supports departmental goals during the summer months. At the same time, the program strengthens our talent pipeline by introducing emerging professionals to our company, creating opportunities for future employment and long-term engagement. The program also reinforces our commitment to education, mentorship, and community impact by equipping students with practical skills, professional experience, and confidence that will benefit them throughout their careers while supporting the continued success of our organization.
