Location: Richfield, WI (30 minutes from Milwaukee and Waukesha)
We’re Looking For A: Sanitation Technician
Location: Richfield, WI
Shift: 3rd (10pm - 6:30am)
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Perform equipment and facility area cleaning on a regular and as-needed basis
- Perform general housekeeping including removing trash and recycling from the production floor to appropriate containers
- Using the appropriate cleaning and sanitizing solution, apply to all surfaces, scrubbing surfaces and parts as needed
- Reference and verify the master sanitation schedule and document all cleaning and sanitizing activities
- Understand and follow all equipment cleaning SOPs
- Maintain inventory of cleaning equipment, tools and supplies; collaborate with Manager, Sanitation when inventory runs low or if challenges arise with any equipment, tool or supply
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the safety rules and company policies, especially the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) for the manufacturing facility
- Maintain a thorough understanding of chemicals regularly kept in the facility and the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required to handle the chemicals
- Completion of additional tasks assigned by Manager, Sanitation or Supervisor, Sanitation
Preferred Qualifications (Note: These are preferred and not required. We strongly encourage you to apply even if you don’t tick ALL of these boxes.):
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Prior experience in a sanitation role (preferred)
- Prior experience working in a food or pet food manufacturing environment (preferred)
- Ability to constantly stand, walk, reach with hands and stooping/kneeling
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
