Shift: 3rd (10pm - 6:30am)

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Perform regular inspection and verification of manufacturing lines, equipment and processes throughout the plant based on agreed upon schedule; complete documentation when complete
- Perform instrument calibrations as needed (thermometers, gauges, lab equipment, etc.)
- Sampling and testing of raw materials, materials in progress, and finished goods; identify non-conforming material (NCM) and assist with the NCM process
- Help maintain library of retained samples to assist with material approvals and complaint investigations
- Regularly interact with Manufacturing, Maintenance, Sanitation and Logistic employees and supervisors to provide useful feedback on quality-related issues or concerns
- Verify the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are being met throughout the manufacturing plant and its processes
- Participate in the shelf-life monitoring program
- Investigate issues or potential issues and work with relevant parties to perform root cause analysis for deviations and customer complaints
- Willing to occasionally help on other shifts when vacations or emergency situations arise
- Assist in the design and implementation of processes and procedures within the Quality Assurance department
Preferred Qualifications (Note: These are preferred and not required. We strongly encourage you to apply even if you don’t tick ALL of these boxes.):
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in food, biological, or chemical science field (preferred)
- 1+ years of experience in quality assurance
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google programs
- Understanding of food safety and quality systems and manufacturing processes and technologies (preferred)
