We’re Looking For A(n): Legal Intern

Location: Remote

What You’ll Be Doing: The Legal Department is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated law student for a part-time, remote internship during the Spring semester. The intern will gain hands-on experience working with in-house counsel on a variety of corporate and commercial matters, with a primary focus on the contract-management lifecycle and entity governance. This position offers meaningful exposure to the daily operations of a corporate legal function.

Contract Management Support

  • Assist with the full contract lifecycle, including intake, drafting, review, negotiation, approval, and execution processes.

  • Maintain and update contract records, key terms, and metadata within the company’s contract management system.

  • Help monitor and track contract status and renewal dates to ensure timely follow-up.

  • Prepare contract summaries and assist with the creation and refinement of contract templates and playbooks.

  • Support the development and continuous improvement of internal processes and tools for efficient contract management.

Entity Governance & Information Management

  • Assist in maintaining corporate records and entity databases, including organizational charts, registrations, and compliance calendars.

  • Support the preparation and organization of board materials, consents, and governance documents.

  • Conduct legal research and benchmarking on governance and compliance topics as needed.

  • Help organize and maintain the department’s shared resources and document repositories.

General Department Support

    • Perform administrative and operational tasks related to legal workflows.

    • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and process improvement initiatives.

    • Assist attorneys and staff with ad-hoc research or project-based work.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment.

  • Proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.

  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with attorneys and cross-functional teams.

Technical & Legal Skills

    • Basic understanding of contract structure, common legal terms, and negotiation principles.

    • Familiarity with corporate governance concepts and entity recordkeeping.

    • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.

    • Comfort using technology tools (e.g., Google Drive, Microsoft Word, or contract management systems).

    • Research and writing proficiency consistent with law school training.

 

  • Required Eduction: Current Law Student; College Degree Required
  • Preferred Education: Current Law Student
  • Preferred Experience: Prior experience in a corporate or legal environment preferred, but not required.

The base salary range is $17-$20.

The posted salary range in this job posting reflects data based on California's cost of labor analysis. This salary range is subject to change per state; please click here to find the pay differential in your state of residence if the role is remote”

Salary is based on a wide range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geographical location.
