Describe your company’s approach to creating a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.

Golden Hippo is dedicated to providing a positive and transparent candidate experience at every stage of the hiring process. From the first interaction, we prioritize clear and timely communication, ensuring candidates feel informed and valued. Our Talent Acquisition team reflects our company culture by maintaining open and thoughtful dialogue, offering timely follow-ups, and providing insights into what makes Golden Hippo a great place to work.

To help candidates better understand our workplace and opportunities for growth, we share engaging resources such as our comprehensive “Benefits at a Glance” document, which outlines our industry-leading perks and is available on our careers site. Additionally, we set candidates up for success through transparency and connection through our Hippo Pod. We even have an episode with our Senior TA Partner, Lauren,who went in-depth on the recruiting process and offered valuable insights into what to expect.

Once candidates join our team, they are welcomed through our Hippo Buddy program, which pairs new hires with experienced team members to provide guidance and support as they transition into their roles. Through these efforts, we ensure that every candidate—whether they join our team or not—has a positive and informative experience with Golden Hippo.

 

How do you gather and implement feedback from candidates to improve your recruitment process?

We continuously refine our recruitment process by actively seeking feedback from candidates and new hires. We conduct surveys throughout the hiring and onboarding experience to gain valuable insights into what’s working well and where we can improve. Additionally, we conduct outreach five weeks after a new employee starts to submit anonymous thoughts on their experience on our 3rd party review sites, ensuring we capture honest feedback.

Our commitment to listening and adapting is reflected in our high new-employee rating on our orientation process. By consistently gathering input and making thoughtful adjustments, we create a candidate and new hire experience that is transparent, engaging, and reflective of our company culture.
